Top 10 SuperCoach Captains – Round 7

Rd 7 Top 10 Supercoach Captains

Scott Pendlebury V Brisbane

Last 3 games: 145,140,134 Ave:140

Last 3 v Bris: 108,132,159 Ave: 133

Pendles has been in brilliant recent form, and has good numbers v Brisbane. Only worry is Raines coming back, kept him to just 108 last year when they met. Who knows if he will go to Swan or Pendlebury though.

Dane Swan v Brisbane

Last 3 games: 112,180,121 Ave: 138

Last 3 v Bris: 132,122,170 Ave: 141

Similar average against Brisbane to his recent form. Two solid scores with a big one thrown in. If he dodges the Raines tag, he could get the space like Stanton did last week, and could rack up a huge score.

Gary Ablett v GWS

Last 3 games: 134,182,143 ave: 153

We’re still not sure if he will play, but if he does give him serious consideration. Most blokes would start slow after an injury interrupted period, but this is the little master we are talking about. Could destroy GWS.

Lance Franklin v Melb

Last 3 games: 131,72,89 Ave: 97

Last 3 v Melb: 132,108,116 Ave:119

Recent scores haven’t been outstanding, but was good on the weekend. Has good numbers v Melbourne, and one would think he will get plenty of opportunities. Would be a risk no doubt.

Josh P. Kennedy v Richmond

Last 3 games: 118, 173,99 Ave:130

Last 3 v Rich: 117, 103, 25 Ave:91

One of the form players in the comp, and excluding the 25 has good scores against the Tigers. You’d think he will start getting tagged soon, but can he keep up this stellar form?

Marc Murphy v St.Kilda

Last 3 games: 89, 118, 120 Ave:109

Last 3 v Saints: 115, 90, 75 Ave:93

Been extremely consistent this year, but was well held by McDonald on the weekend. Historically scores poorly against the Saints and usually gets the Jones tag. Although, with a new coach at the helm will Jones be sent to Judd?

Andrew Swallow v Dogs

Last 3 games: 120, 112,95 Ave:109

Last 3 v Dogs: 142,103,104 Ave:116

Been quite consistent this year without pumping out a big score that he is known for. A big 142 last time he played the Dogs. Definently not the worst option.

Matthew Boyd v Roos

Last 4 games: 81,133,85,133

Ave:108

Last 3 v North: 87,110,120 Ave:106

The disposal king Boydy hasn’t got great numbers v North, but does anyone see a trend in his recent numbers? Seems to follow a down performance with a big one, but is he worth the risk?

Joel Selwood v Adelaide

Last 3 games: 114,140,144 Ave: 133

Last 3 v Adel: 87,144,127 Ave: 119

Selwood will be fresh and ready to go after having a spell last week. In his last 6 games vs Adelaide, his lowest score is that 87 and on the five other occasions he hasn’t missed the ton. Been in stellar recent form as well.

Brett Deledio v Sydney

Last 3 games: 143,129,102 Ave: 125

Last 3 v Syd: 127,97,90 Ave: 105

Lids has been playing very well lately, flying under the radar of opposition teams. Port let him run loose and he carved them up, but I can’t see the experienced Swans side letting him get away with as much space.

My top 5.

1 – S.Pendlebury (Coll)

2 – G. Ablett (GC)

3 – D.Swan (Coll)

4 – J.Selwood (Geel)

5 – L.Franklin (Haw)
